MY STORY

Mia is a New York City–based Pilates instructor and movement educator working with athletes, dancers, and teachers who value precision, longevity, and intelligent training.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2020. Her background in dance informs how she observes bodies, transitions, and efficiency of movement, while Pilates remains the foundation of her teaching practice.

Mia completed her comprehensive Classical Pilates training through the Equinox Pilates Teacher Institute, a 600-hour program directed by Carrie Samper, and holds an NCSF Personal Training Certification. She began teaching Pilates and group fitness while still a full-time college student and was one of the youngest instructors teaching within the Equinox system.

Her continuing education includes specialized training in scoliosis, body-inclusive movement practices, and pre- and post-natal care, allowing her to adapt the classical method thoughtfully for a wide range of bodies and demands.

Alongside her teaching work, Mia maintains an active career as a contemporary and commercial dancer in New York City. This ongoing performance experience shapes her approach to Pilates as a tool for both resilience and refinement.

Today, Mia offers private and duet Pilates sessions both in-studio and virtually, teaches group fitness classes at Equinox, and works with clients at Paradigm Studios NYC on the Upper East Side.

Her approach blends the rigor of classical Pilates with contemporary application, emphasizing clarity, control, and sustainable strength. Sessions are designed to support athletes, dancers, and movement professionals in building a strong, adaptable foundation for long-term performance and health.
